Spent New Year's Eve at a hotel close to the famous Mount Fuji. Unforgettable views from the room window, unless it was overcast. the staff was helpful and thoughtful all the time, even advising about the best time of day to see the mountain. Parking also had plenty of spaces and was very convenient.
The decor and furniture left something to be desired. the old-style interior and the aroma of an old building did not add to the experience.
